At Lachman Consulting, we believe nonprofit organizations have the power to change the world.

We also believe that in order to create high-impact results, nonprofit organizations and leaders need to Regularly Engage in strategic and creative thinking, planning, and action. And often this important work takes a back seat to urgent,
day-to-day operations.

That's where we come in.

Lachman Consulting helps nonprofits realize their greatest potential through strategic planning, leadership coaching, and team and board development.

We partner with executives and boards of nonprofit organizations to achieve clarity, direction, and alignment that paves the way for an organization’s success. We’re not the type of consultants that parachute in to “fix” your problems.

Rather, we work with our clients side-by-side and partner together to develop solutions that will fit their unique culture, needs, and goals.  We focus on helping our clients create sustainable and transformational change, so they benefit from our work long after our project is over.

Some of the DC area’s greatest nonprofit organizations have chosen us as their partner, including:

JEN LACHMAN

FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL

Jen Lachman is committed to creating stronger, bolder, and more impactful nonprofit organizations.  In 2013, Jen launched Lachman Consulting to provide strategic planning, leadership development, and facilitation services to individuals and groups that are working to create positive change in the world. Jen is most fulfilled when she's supporting and challenging nonprofit leaders and teams to make changes that perhaps scare them the most, but will transform the impact that they have on the people and the missions they serve.  Jen has had the joy and honor of doing this work with a variety of incredible clients, and as lead faculty for Exponent Philanthropy’s Coaching for Effective Philanthropy Program and the 2014-15 Future ED Fellowship Program.

Prior to founding Lachman Consulting, Jen served as the Executive Director of MAG America, where she dodged landmines (literally and figuratively) while building a team, board, and organization from the ground up.  Jen is a certified coach, trained by the Coaches Training Institute. She also received an Executive Certificate in Organization Development from Georgetown University and a Masters of Science in International Development Management from American University. In her spare time, Jen can be found on her yoga mat, adventuring with her husband, or volunteering as a Board Member at the wonderful Carpenter’s Shelter.
